Our organization undertook a series of activities aimed at community empowerment, focusing on ending child marriages and reducing teenage pregnancies.

The reproductive health training was conducted in four schools in Asuret subcounty for a period of eight days(8), with two days dedicated to each school. the sessions covered essential topics like puberty, menstrual hygiene management, STI preventions, early pregnancies and personal hygiene. the training involved interactive discussions, role plays, case studies and questions and answer sessions.

From January to June 2025 , Toto Africa Initiative Uganda implemented the Pad the Girl Child Re-usable Pads Distribution Program in Ngora District, tackling menstrual poverty as a driver of school absenteeism, dropout, early marriage, and teenage pregnancy.

Empowering young people to promote and advocate for gender equality Trained 20 youth in skills development to economically empower them to overcome pressure of child marriage and teenage pregnancy.

The project is training 100 young mothers who got pregnant during COVID 19 and failed to go back to school due to young motherhood, the project target is 100 young mothers from poor families, the objective is skilling young mothers for economic development, we need more machines because the number of machines we have are over congested.

Reentry and skilling young mothers at Central Girls Vocational School -Luwero district. Promoting second chance education and life skills training for girls and young women aged 13 -20 years affected by teenage pregnancy and child marriage.

The activity aimed at training 120 women and men in business skills in 2 villages of Kamandindi and Mvulenunda in Buliisa District.

We successfully conducted financial literacy training sessions for Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW), aimed at equipping them with practical financial skills in saving, budgeting, entrepreneurship, and collective action. These sessions also encouraged the formation of Village Saving and Loan Associations (VSLAs).

Rhythm of Life – Skilling Initiative: Tailoring Project Rhythm of Life (ROL) continues to contribute to ending child marriages and teenage pregnancies through its targeted Skilling Initiative, with the Tailoring Project being a key intervention.

Concern for the Girl Child (CGC) has implemented multiple interventions to prevent child marriages and teenage pregnancies, focusing on education, community sensitization, health awareness, economic empowerment, and advocacy.
