Name of Organisation: Youth Partnership Uganda

Youth Partnership Uganda with other cluster members formed a Powering Girls Cluster in kasese whose goal is to build girls to be resilient by building their confidence in reporting and demanding for collective actions that builds girls strength.

With this partnership, the cluster won a one (1) year grant from CRVPF that builds the capacity of adolescent girls between 10-24 years by engaging in life skills, vocational training and VSLA’s in the sub counties of Nyakiyumbu and Karambi but also creating safe spaces where the girls will meet and share experiences that they go through at individual, family and community levels.

Therefore, the activity here described engaged the district leaders, sub county leaders and local council leaders but also girls themselves who are the most affected by violence. The project was successfully launched by the chairperson LC 5-kasese district who called on all stakeholders to keep the project goal positive for the better of the girls and the community. He also emphasized project monitoring so that the results are on track.
