Why child marriage, teenage pregnancy persists in Uganda: Daily Monitor UG

Speaking during the validation of a rapid assessment of Uganda’s National Strategy to End Child Marriage and Teenage Pregnancy at the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development in Kampala, Mr Byabasaija further attributed the challenges to limited parental supervision, noting that some parents spend long hours away from home looking for money, leaving children without adequate adult supervision.
