
Training Children Club Leaders to Facilitate Safe School Environment Activities
Human Rights and democracy link Africa conducted training for 180 (90male, 90female) club members from 9th to 10th May 2024 on facilitation and delivery of weekly learning safe school environment activities for their peers in their respective clubs.
The training aimed to equip the club leaders with knowledge and skills to facilitate the discussions on promoting a safe school environment in their respective schools. The training was facilitated by the focal teachers with support from the Project Officer, 6 schools participated in the training and these included Kibiito, St. Adolf, St. Francis-Rwengwara, St. John’s Yerya, Bubwika, and Mozet primary schools.
As a result, there has been an improved teacher-pupil relationship thus prevention of violence against children in school.
