Mama Initiative for Development is tackling early marriage and teen pregnancy in Kasese by training young mothers in livelihood skills, educating girls on their rights, and promoting mindset change among parents.

With support from Laureus SOL Foundation, Tackle is using football to improve menstrual health and hygiene among adolescent girls in Hoima and Kikuube. The program trains female teachers as coaches to deliver menstrual health education during football sessions, reaching over 830 girls in 40 schools. Girls also received reusable pads and menstrual cups to reduce school absenteeism and prevent early marriages and teenage pregnancies.
