Special Computer Training Holiday Camp Empowers Youth and Women

The Action for Development of Grassroots Communities concluded with a two-month second special computer training holiday camp from 2nd Dec 2024 to 24th January 2025. This camp is part of the Special Computer Training Holiday program that ADEGCO started in 2024 aimed at empowering the youth and women with digital literacy skills through basic training in computer courses for meaningful paid and self-employment. It is also aimed at making these vulnerable groups develop a love for computers and ICT so that they thrive in this tech-driven world.

To mark the success of this camp, a Graduation ceremony was held on Saturday 25th January 2025 where successful trainees were given their certificates and public recognition as computer literate. Having computer-literate female youth and women reduces their vulnerability to early marriages.
