Child Aid Uganda(CHAU) is a not for profit organisation established in 2004 by Ugandan child rights activists and professionals in response to the increasing needs of orphans and other vulnerable children.

Our vision is a Ugandan society where orphans and other vulnerable children enjoy their rights and live to their full potential.
Our mission is to work with and through individuals, families, communities and local government to contribute to the fundamental freedom and basic needs of orphans and other vulnerable children.

Our objectives are:

  1. To promote, advocate and defend the rights of orphans an other vulnerable children and care for the environment in which they live.
  2. To increase access to equitable and quality education among orphans and other vulnerable children
  3. To increase household income, improve food availability and accessibility among orphans and other vulnerable children amd their families.
  4. To prevent further transmission of HIV, improve survival health and well being of the HIV Affected families and their household.
  5. To strengthen organisation capacity for effective management of its programmes.
