Located in Kisomere village, along Paraa Road, Ngwedo sub-county – Buliisa District, Child Rights Development Foundation (CRIDEF) is a community based organization established in 2,000 by a group of local people in rural Mvulenunda found in Buliisa district. The organization initially started as a group that focused on improving the lives of orphans, other vulnerable children and their care givers. The first piece of work was making of counter books that were often supplied to orphans as a way of supporting their education.
Later, in 2015, the group legally registered with Buliisa district local government on registration certificate number CD/033/015/16 as a community based organization and thus expanded on its geographical and programmatic areas of intervention to include; Advocacy, child protection and education, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, social economic empowerment, women’s rights and psycho-social support, Elimination of child labour, Elimination of child marriage, WASH, Climate change adaptation as well as strengthening strategic partnerships, linkages and referrals for improved service delivery.

Our Goal
Under The Current Strategic Plan, Running From 2015 To 2020 The CRIDEF Goal Is To Reach 20,000 Orphans And Other Vulnerable Children And Their Care Givers With Interventions To Reduce Their Vulnerability.
