Shines Children’s Foundation
Description
Established in 2013, Shines Children’s Foundation (SCF) is a youth led non-for-profit, Non-Governmental Organization which is fully registered with the national Bureau of NGOs in Uganda. We work with communities to provide sustainable solutions towards challenges which affect children and youth to reach their full potential. Since inception, the organization has been a positive force towards behavioral change of communities by directly influencing and involving Children and youth in education, Sexual reproductive health and right, Children’s rights, nutrition and food security, OVC programing and economic strengthening.
Our Vision: We envisage in a society where children have equal access to their rights and opportunities to reach their full potential Our Mission Create a society where families and communities are socially and economically empowered to observe and protect the rights of children and provide them access to education, health care, and shelter for sustainable development.
Our Objectives:
- Advocate for the rights and improvement of the welfare of children, and curb down the conditions affecting children in Uganda.
- Enhance skills and capacity of the communities to identify and manage their own resources towards caring for their children sustainably.
- Work with other CSOs, Coalitions, Networks and institutions with interest in the welfare and promotion of the rights of children.
- End child marriage and teenage pregnancies in Uganda
- Provide Clean drilling water
- Provide quality education to needy and vulnerable Children
- Improve in Livelihoods among youth and women
- Conduct environmental education among children and youth and
- Contribute towards the eradication of HIV/AIDS in Uganda.
