Anthill Foundation Uganda is a registered Non- Governmental Organization founded in 2005 with aim to serve and empower communities living in extreme poverty with the tools to live self – sustainable and healthy lives through promotion of innovative solutions in the areas of education, health and livelihood.
The Foundation promotes gender responsiveness in all areas of serve to ensure safety and participation of all particularly girls and women. Like our founders, Anthill foundation Uganda strives to “transform communities.” Under programs, a number of interventions have been rolled out including a sponsorship program, Gender Based Violence/Violence against Children annual drives, advocacy and education support to teenage mothers, Youth leadership in health, Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, Mentorship and Gender in Education programming.
Operation areas:Wakiso, Luwero, Luuka, Tororo, Mayuge, Kampala, Alebtong, Lira.
Mission: To provide people living in extreme poverty in Uganda the tools to live self sustainable and healthy lives.
Vision: Foundation Uganda envisions a healthy and productive Uganda.
Objectives
- Promote equal access to education through working with education institutions to reduce the gender gap in education and have especially girls successfully complete the school cycle.
- Promote life skills training and mentoring to empower girls and boys to overcome barriers to education, build confidence to embrace leadership and excel in life.
- Lobby for collective community participation in education and access to quality health care.
- Promote Sustainable, impactful economic empowerment for communities to live a decent life.
