Description
Dreams Rescue Foundation (DREF) Uganda is a community based organization that was started in 2018 and registered as an NGO in 2022 with the permit that allows her work in the entire Uganda. The organization was started by a group of youth in Nambieso and Abongomola who felt they can do something to mobilize, work together and inspire young people to fight negative norms, come out of poverty and self pity. The idea was to help young people work together to challenge poverty, unemployment and negative social norms that affect the productivity of young people. we believe that together we can transfer lives and spur development of our communities.
DREF Uganda implements programs that aim at transforming the mindset of the youth, tackling harmful norms, increasing access to SRHR information and services, skilling youth and employment creation, climate change adaptation and resilience building, HIV/AIDs and SGBV prevention.
VISION: A community where young people (especially girls), are free from harmful practices and are living decent life.
MISSION: ” To inspire young people to challenge harmful norm, acquire skills and live productive life”
