Youth Chaperon Uganda is a youth led and Serving organization deeply committed to advocating for Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) among young people in Uganda towards ending child marriage and teenage pregnancy. Understanding the importance of comprehensive knowledge and access to SRHR services, the organization actively engages in awareness campaigns, educational workshops, school and community outreach programs to promote healthy and informed decision-making.
We envision a world where every young individual has the opportunity to thrive, contribute and shape a better society. our mission is to inspire, empower and support young people transform into citizens concerned with their well-being as well as as advocate for their rights.
OBJECTIVES.
- Develop and implement comprehensive SRHR education programs targeting youth in schools, communities, and online to enhance awareness and knowledge, prevalence of sexual abuse and importance of Prevention.
- Advocate for and facilitate access to youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health services across Uganda, ensuring services are available, affordable, and stigma-free for all cases of SRHR.
- Advocate for policy reforms that protect and promote the sexual and reproductive rights of young people at local, regional, and national levels, strengthen laws and policies related to the protection of youths against sexual abuse.
Target: Work with policymakers to influence at least five key legislative changes related to youth health and rights. Leverage digital tools and social media platforms to disseminate information, raise awareness, and create safe online communities for youth discussions on SRHR. Create platforms for young people to voice their opinions and engage in meaningful discussions about their sexual and reproductive health and rights.
